Andrew Connally School of Preaching

The Andrew Connally School of Preaching (ACSOP) is named after the late Andrew Connally who was a pioneer in Tanzanian mission efforts. The school is located in the Kisongo area just outside of Arusha. The campus has a library, classrooms, kitchen, offices, dormitories for up to 48 students, guest quarters, and large covered patio area for large gatherings. Due to a partnership with the Bear Valley Bible Institute in Denver, CO, graduates of ACSOP receive a Bachelors degree in Bible. A Masters program is also available.

Education is highly valued in Tanzania and these men value this Biblical education. They come from all over East Africa to receive this education. So far, ACSOP has trained around 200 evangelists. These men return back to their home country or region to teach or preach what they have learned in this school. The graduates have been partly responsible for the planting of more than 150 new churches, not only in Tanzania, but also in the Congo, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya. Because of this school the Gospel is not only being taken throughout Tanzania, but into all of East Africa

Hoover Church of Christ

Our church family here is a loving, close-knit group of Christians trying our best to live for Christ. We’re not perfect, of course, but we’re striving each day to let God’s Word be our guide for everything we do—in everyday life, at work, at school, at church. . . everywhere. Many of us come from different backgrounds, and we work in different fields, but we share a common love for Jesus Christ and His church and look for opportunities to share that love with others.

Maybe you’ve realized there’s a void in your life, like something’s missing. This is a perfect opportunity to visit us to find opportunities to connect with Christians in this area. It’ll be a non-threatening environment, and you won’t be singled out or made to feel uncomfortable in any way. Just come join us for this simple worship service where we’ll reflect on what Jesus Christ has to say to our lives.

Cy Stafford School of Leadership

We began construction on the Cy Stafford School of Leadership in 2020, and we plan to begin admitting our first class in 2021. The goal of this school is simple, yet potentially powerful: we want to train men throughout East Africa to develop their God-given talents so they can serve their local churches as elders, deacons, and church leaders. This school has the potential to change the landscape of the Church of Christ in East Africa for generations to come.
