Church Planting and Growth

The apostolic model of church growth is to plant churches that can reach their local communities, and we are working with our African brothers and sisters to help them accomplish this goal throughout Tanzania and other East African countries.

Transportation—especially outside of large, urban areas—is often unavailable, so it is important to plant churches within walking distance of where people live. We have helped plant a number of churches in Arusha, Tanzania, but there are still so many communities in Arusha and in hundreds of other cities and villages throughout East Africa that need a local community of faith.

One goal of our preaching school is to train preachers to go back to their home villages and establish churches. We then hope that these churches will themselves plant other churches, that will plant more churches, and so on. In this way, the gospel of Christ can reach far beyond the city of Arusha.
